Lamentations 3:22-23 Start Over

Lamentations 3:22-23   The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end;23 they are new every morning;  great is your faithfulness.

What a wonderful verse this is! First it reminds us that God’s love for us never stops! How wonderful that is! It is also the verse that inspired one of my favorite songs Matthew West sings, “Day One.” I am guessing you may have heard it. If you haven’t, or even if you have, you need to listen to it… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qq2Tp3asLU8

Great song isn’t it!?

The verse tells us his mercies are new every morning! Mercy can be described as God not punishing us for what our sins deserve.

This verse and song makes me think about guilt. Sadly many of us live with guilt. Guilt for our past, guilt for our sins, guilt for our shortcomings and our failures. Guilt is one of satan’s most powerful tools. When he can make us feel guilty for what we have done it can paralyze us and keep us from what God is really wanting us to do!

If you are saved and repent of your sin the Bible tells us in Hebrews 8:12….”For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.” When our sins are forgiven they are forgotten. God doesn’t keep throwing them in our face and say “See what you did you sinner.” However, satan does! He wants us to remember them so we feel guilty and don’t feel like God can use us! If you have guilt in your life first make sure you have repented of that sin and then LET IT GO! Tell satan you aren’t that person anymore and ask God, “NOW WHAT?” Now what do you want me to do? Now what do you want me to be? Now what do you want me to say?

I heard a song tonight. One I normally wouldn’t listen to but the words of it really hit home with all of this. Please listen to it closely even if it isn’t the type of music you would usually listen to….   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ms1uqdX6wXY

Is there guilt you are carrying?
If you have repented  are holding on to it are you saying what Jesus did wasn’t enough to remove it?
Have you turned the page to give Him a blank page to work with in your life?

Today is Day One! Today you can Start Over!
